The phone has an aluminum frame. On the front end, it has Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and on its back, there is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has an IP68 rating for protection from dust and other particles. It has a 6.1-inch Super AMOLED HDR 10+ certified display. It is a QuadHD+ display and a 550ppi screen resolution.

Samsung Galaxy S10 comes with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. It is a fast scanner and you can open your phone in an instant. At the top of the phone, there is a port for a SIM card and a microphone. It has a USB Type-C port at the bottom. Along with the Type-C port, there is a 3.5mm earphone jack, a loudspeaker, and a primary microphone. On the right side of the phone, there is a Bixby button, which is a smart voice assistant for Samsung phones.

The display is by default set to full HD+ which can be manually changed to Quad HD+. It can be customized easily depending on the user’s needs.

It comes in two finishes. One is the base finish where you get Prism White, Prism Blue, and Prism Black colors. You can also get them in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White which come with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage respectively. It is one of the brightest phones in the market right now with 1200 nits of brightness.

It has two selfie cameras and three back cameras. It has an ultrasonic in-display sensor. Its power button is located on the right side of the display. On the left-hand side, there are volume and Bixby buttons. On top of the phone, there is a SIM tray slot and a microphone. At the bottom end of the phone, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, Loudspeaker, and the primary microphone. It too comes with an IP68 rating.

When it comes to connectivity, you get 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, and ANT+ similar to S10. The device is capable of reverse wireless charging. It comes with One UI, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. It comes with various gestures and customization features for a good user experience.

The triple camera setup of the phone includes a 12 MP telephoto camera which has an aperture of f/1.5, a 12 MP wide-angle camera which has an aperture of f/2.4, and a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle camera which has an aperture of f/2.2. The camera performance is very good, as is expected by a premium phone. For selfies, the phone has a single 10 MP camera in the front with an aperture of f/1.9. You can make 4K videos at 60fps. You can also capture 4K videos with the selfie camera but at 30 fps. There is also a slow-motion mode which lets you shoot videos at 960 fps.

You get an optical zoom of 2X with the telephoto camera. With an ultra-wide-angle camera, there is a 123-degree field of view as well. It has a slow-motion mode to let you capture videos at 960 fps. You can capture 4K videos at 60 fps with the primary cameras.

For selfies, you get two cameras. One is a 10 MP selfie camera and the other is an 8 MP depth sensor. You can capture 4K videos at 30 fps with the selfie camera.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy S10 gets a little small battery at 3400 mAh. It is not that large but should get you through the day with light usage. You also get a fast charger with the phone to charge your phone quickly and get it ready to use again.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus gets a bigger battery at 4100 mAh. It is fairly large compared to Galaxy S10. With light usage, you can easily get a whole day with it on a single charge. Samsung supplies a 15W fast charger with it as well. It can charge your phone completely in an hour and thirty minutes.

FINAL VERDICT: WHICH IS BETTER S10 OR S10 PLUS?

Both the phones come with top of the line features. Even though they were released last year, they are still relevant today. There is no denying that they are both similar in features. The only thing that becomes the decider is your budget. Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus can be found at Amazon for Rs. 44,999 and Samsung Galaxy S10 can be found at Amazon for Rs. 39,999. Although a bit costly, Galaxy S10 Plus offers more features than S10 and seems a bit better.
