DESIGN AND DISPLAY

Both phones feature the same mirror-split design on their back, but the 7 Pro is a lot slimmer (8.7mm) and lighter (182g) when compared to the Realme 7, which is 9.4mm thick and weighs 196.5g. This makes 7 Pro a lot more comfortable to hold and use as compared to the Realme 7. The frame and back panel are still made of plastic, but the quality is very good and the phones feel sturdy overall. Both the phones come with matte finish.

The buttons are ergonomically placed around the phone and at the bottom. They come with the standard headphone jack, USB Type-C port and speaker. One of the major differences between these phones is that 7 Pro comes with Super AMOLED panel with a Full-HD+ resolution while Realme 7 IPS LCD display. Another major difference between these phones is that of refresh rates. While Realme 7 features 90 Hz refresh rate, Realme 7 Pro features a standard 60 Hz refresh rate.

PERFORMANCE AND FEATURES

Realme went different ways when picking processors for both these phones. While 7 Pro is launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, Realme 7 gets the latest version of MediaTek Helio G95 SoC. The Realme 7 comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for Rs. 14,999, and a higher 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage for Rs. 16,999.  The 7 Pro version comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage at Rs. 19,999, and a higher 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for Rs. 21,999. The RAM and storage are LPDDR4X and UFS 2.1 respectively. Both the phones run on Realme UI. They both have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as the previous versions.

REALME 7 PRO BATTERY LIFE: LONG-LASTING

The phones come with huge batteries. Realme 7 comes with 5000 mAh battery. 7 Pro gets a bit smaller 4500 mAh battery. Both the phones will last easily for over a day. Both phones are equipped with fast chargers. Realme 7 comes with 30W charger while Realme 7 Pro offers 65W SuperDart fast charger.

CAMERAS

The rear cameras on the 7 Pro are similar to those of the Realme 7. These are a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, there’s a single 32-megapixel camera with a rather narrow f/2.5 aperture on 7 Pro and the Realme 7 gets 16 Mp selfie camera. Compared to the Realme 6 Pro, the 7 Pro misses out on the ultra-wide-angle selfie camera and the rear telephoto camera. The Realme 7 Pro can record videos at up to 4K 30fps, with electronic stabilisation similar to Realme 7 but Realme 7 misses out on stabilisation.

CONCLUSION

Both the phones are giants in their price range and both come with great features. They are both a great update from their previous versions. When it comes to budget phones, Realme has proven itself to be a formidable opponent and with Realme 7 series, Realme has set the bar to beat. Whether you choose Realme 7 or Realme 7 Pro, you can’t go wrong with either choice.
